Make your own reusable Santa gift bag using chunky chenille yarn and just your fingers. Follow our beginner-friendly video to create the base and sides, add Santa’s belt and buckle, and finish with a white trim and drawstring closure.

Make your very own Santa gift bag using chunky chenille yarn! Follow Yorkshire Yarn’s easy, step-by-step Christmas tutorial using just your fingers—no knitting needles or crochet hooks required.

Perfect for beginners, this reusable Santa sack is ideal for Christmas presents, sweet treats, Christmas Eve boxes or little surprises for the family.

Learn how to create a foundation chain, build the base and sides, change yarn colours for Santa’s black belt, add a decorative buckle, and finish with a soft white trim and drawstring closure.

Yarn colours used: Red Rose for Santa’s suit, Black for the belt, Pure White for the trim and drawstring, and Soft Yellow for the buckle.

Make your bag bigger or smaller by adjusting the foundation chain and number of rows. Make a small bag for sweets, a larger sack for presents, or turn it into a festive backpack!
